In 2011 the Quilt Museum and Gallery is offering a fantastic programme of learning activities for visitors of all ages. Keep visiting our ‘Events’ section to stay up to date with the latest on offer at the Quilt Museum. As well as your favourite workshops, we’ve added some exciting new activities to the list.

Hurry there is still a couple of places left on Machine Embroidery an exciting workshop with Jamie from Husqvarna Viking on Saturday 22nd January.

If you could use some sewing skills in the workplace why not sign up for ‘How to Sew for School and Work’ on Wednesday 26th January a fun and simple introduction to basic sewing projects.

Don’t forget to sign up for one of our free ‘White Rosette Workshops’ for families this Residents Day.

We are now taking bookings and payment in advance for all workshops, many courses starting from only £15.00 for a half day’s adult tuition and £7.50 for children. For course costs and further information please contact us on the details below.

February Half Term – This Half Term there are three fantastic days of creative hand-stitching and machine sewing for you to choose from. Join us for ‘Funky Fabric Collagé’ on Tuesday 22nd February, or ‘Super Stitches’ and ‘Patchwork Patterns’ on Wednesday 23rd and Friday 24th February. We are now taking booking for these workshops so book early to avoid disappointment.

As always we have a fabulous ‘Fabric Fun for Families’ free, drop-in session on Friday 25th February.

Quilters’ Retreats – Our next Quilters’ weekend retreat will be ‘Blocks, Borders and Backgrounds’ with the fabulous Seena Norquay on 28th and 29th May

Or treat yourself to a weekend with Ineke Berlyn for ‘Degrees of Transparencies’ on 29th and 30th October.
