Sonoro is made up of cotton and silk in a variety of colours with a wide range of tones. It is one of a series of quilts which explores layered fabrics applied to a base fabric. With the edges left free to fray, it gives a very textured surface, which was further enhanced by washing and tumble drying. It is one of four quilts commissioned for the Collection by the Beckenham Quilters from members within their group, in recognition of their individual work in the advancement of quiltmaking.
A quilt from The Nineties Collection - quilts commissioned from quiltmakers working during the 1990s.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
