White cotton sateen wholecloth quilt with frilled border and hand-quilted motifs of a flower inside a square on point in the centre and a border containing flowers within circles with a square diamond infill. The quilt was made through a Quilt Club by miners' wives as a wedding gift in County Durham. The donor remembers that her mother always kept this quilt for best on the spare bed. Another quilt, a pink and blue strippy, also given to the donor's parents upon their marriage, and this was used on her parents' bed.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
