'February Leap Frogs' is the title of this Young Quilters' Oxfam Challenge Quilt. Machine pieced tied block quilt, with stencilled frog and plant design. Quilt was made by Young Quilters in Dorking, Surrey for the Oxfam Challenge at Malvern (Quilts UK) Quilt Show and featured in subsequent book 'Quilts for a Fairer World: The Oxfam Theme at Quilts U.K.'
A 'Stitch 'n' Stencil' day was held on February 29 1992 in a shop in Epsom Surrey to raise funds for Oxfam. The day lasted from 10:00am to 3:00pm and by the time the quilt was finished, £19 had been raised. Six quilters aged from seven to twelve years participated in making the quilt. The stencils were planned and cut by Penny Alder.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
