Red and gold hand-pieced, hand quilted patchwork quilt with a central star within hexagon frames. There are four crowns, one in each corner. The design inspiration looks like a military badge in style, and the colours were taken from the uniforms of the Welsh Guards. The maker made up the design as she went along, adding the dates in gold fabric paint.
