This quilt is made of silk and the design of 'Chaucer's Wedding' is created by machine applique sewn from the back, embellished with machine embroidery. Linda Straws' inspiration for the design of this piece came from the marriage of Geoffrey Chaucer to Phillipa de Roet in 1367. Commissioned and presented by Region 10 (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire).
