The inspiration for 'Touchstones' came from the marble effect created by scrunch dyeing the fabric used in the background of this quilt. The arrangement of the design, colour and texture aims to suggest a fragment of ancient flooring. The quilt is machine and hand pieced, with hand applique and hand quilting. Commissioned and presented by Region 8 (Essex and Suffolk).
A quilt from The Nineties Collection - quilts commissioned from quiltmakers working during the 1990s.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
