Patchwork coverlet with a central framed floral panel surrounded by a design of elongated hexagons around squares and a border of large rectangular patches. The hexagons are a mixture of printed cottons, some dating to the 1790s, and the squares are white cotton, some with piqué weaves. Some of the patches have been carefully pieced. The central panel has been pieced to emulate a block printed panel and then framed with a green sprigged strip. It has been backed in white cotton or linen and quilted with a simple wavy line around the border patches and in lines following the seams of the patches across the width of the coverlet.
