The tan and cream cotton fabrics are arranged in ‘Bears Paw’ blocks in this coverlet which comes from the Isle of Man. The exact maker is unknown, although there is a name and date written in black ink on the reverse, which reads ‘Kaighin, 1887’, and is possibly the surname of the maker or owner.
