This quilt quilt was hand-pieced over papers, hand quilted, and machine-stitched. It has a field of six-hexagon rosettes with white hexagons surrounding them. The top and bottom borders alternate in red and white strips that parallel the red and white side strips. The quilting motifs in the thirteen strips include: Lined hammock, leaves, lined cable, and a weave or chevron. The cotton fabrics are red, white, and multicoloured, and the wadding is made of cotton.
