The central panel of this quilt features a large Chrysanthemum style flower print on hop-sacking, which has been quilted around the outline of the flowers. This panel is surrounded by a wide border with appliquéd flowers which resemble lotus flowers. It is made from cotton fabrics and has been hand appliquéd and hand quilted. Embroidered in chain stitch in lower right hand corner of the reverse is the signature “Barbara Bailey 1988”.
