This hand pieced mosaic patchwork of octagons and squares has a green background and is made from cotton. There is a hand embroidered signature on the front lower left hand corner, which reads “Barbara Bailey 1974”.

Barbara Bailey was an enthusiastic quilter, teacher and a devoted founder member of The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles. It is thanks to Barbara and her generous legacy that The Guild was able to set up the Quilt Museum and Gallery in 2008.
