This quilt was made in the village of Groes Faen, Mid Glamorgan, by Miss or Mrs Jones as a wedding present for a local farmer’s daughter in 1934. The hand quilted designs include leaves, small circles, narrow chain and zigzag lines arranged in borders around a rectangular centre. The quilt has remained in such good condition because unfortunately, the colours were not to the taste of the newly married couple, who never used it.
