Two patchwork tester bed hangings.The longer hanging(.1) features a repeated design of five-sided motifs filled with varying patchwork designs and shapes, including hexagonal, diamond, triangular and crescent shaped patches, the central motif features a large circular patch depicting a printed owl seated on a branch. The patches are of a large variety of printed cotton chintzes between cream linen patches, edged and backed with green glazed cotton. The shorter hanging (.2) featuring a 'Grandmother's flower garden' design of printed cottons amongst plain brown patches, edged with green glazed cotton.
