Crazy patchwork coverlet made from velvets and silks, heavily embellished with embroidery decoration and painted silk pieces. The seams of each piece are decorated with embroidery stitches, and the pieces themselves are embroidered with many different initials, names, flowers and other motifs. There are also some appliqued motifs and beads. The whole piece is constructed from 15 square blocks, not all of the same size. The coverlet is backed with a yellow cotton that has tape loops along one side, possibly where it has previously been hung.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
