Block coverlet made from alternating printed cotton patchwork design blocks and squares with embroidered religious verses in red embroidery. The bottom left hand embroidered inscription reads ‘made by the children at the infant school Dec 1872 Broadland’
This quilt was donated in memory of Gillian Miller who sadly passed away in 2008. Gillian was very interested in social history and loved textiles in particular. She was an avid collector of samplers and interesting quilts and would have been proud to know that one of her quilts is now in the care of The Quilters' Guild.
