This yellow cotton wholecloth quilt is hand quilted and backed with a multi-coloured printed cotton on the reverse. The edges are hand sewn, but the main wholecloth front piece has been joined by machine.
The style of this quilt is very free flowing, and contains a centre motif with an undelineated border and a hanging diamonds infill. Motifs include the rose, feather, shell and flat iron with infill design. The blue pencil marking out the designs can still be seen, and the quality of the layout and drawn motifs suggests that this was marked by a professional quilt stamper.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
