Strippy coverlet made from wide strips of furnishing cottons with a central square on point surrounded by four triangles. Many of the furnishing fabrics have retained their calendared surface suggesting the coverlet was unused. There is a name stamp ‘Lizzie Harrop’ in black ink on the reverse which is repeated several times. It was presumed by the family that Lizzie Harrop, an ancestor, was the maker of the coverlet in the 1890s.
