A multi-coloured silk coverlet with 16 blocks of crazy patchwork separated by strips or sashing. It is both hand and machine pieced and has Liberty silks on the reverse. It was made by Alice Flatt a farmers wife and mother of ten who lived in Ashill, near Thetford, Norfolk.
