Corded Barge bonnet made from small print floral cotton fabric, with rows of corded quilting and rows of small frills. The neck has two different length frills, and one of the ties is missing.
The barge bonnet differed slightly in design to the canal bonnet, and often had a large brim which could be folded back. The Canal bonnet often had more frills and a larger tails at the back the protect the neck.
