Frame quilt made from rectangles of printed cotton surrounding a central square on point also made from rectangular pieces. It is hand quilted and backed in plain white cotton. There are a large number of black and white floral prints which are unusual. The edges have been butted and machine stitched together.
The quilt was owned by John Kilburn of Rash Grange Farm, Swaledale, North Yorkshire, who used the quilt until 1995. It was passed to the owners' cousin in 1996 when she found out it was to be used to cover up an old tractor!
