This quilt uses plain Turkey Red and white cotton fabrics arranged in a ‘courthouse steps’ log cabin formation. The blocks are machine stitched and turned as a ‘fell’ seam. Fell seams can be found on modern day jeans, and they secure the layers of fabric together with three lines of stitching, as well as hiding the seam allowance. The edges are bound in red at the top and bottom and white at the sides.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
