Hand quilted hot water bottler cover made from peach silk and a pink silk velvet lining. The quilting design four corner scissor motifs with square diamond infill and concentric circles in the centre. There is a metal press stud to fasten at the top. The edges are finished with piping. Thought to have been bought in London at either Harrods or Liberty's, and to have been made as part of one of the initiatives between the wars to help poorer families such as the Rural Industries Bureau.
