This hand pieced over papers hexagon coverlet has Turkey Red plain and printed fabrics, along with other printed fabrics on a cream background. The coverlet has never been backed, and still contains the papers which are now in a very fragile condition. The handwriting on some of the papers indicates that the paper was recycled from bills or household accounts, personal letters and perhaps even recipes, as one contains a list of ingredients.
