The inspiration for the Lichen Rose came from the bright colours of lichen and a tracing made of cabbage rose. All of the fabrics were hand dyed using either yellow, purple or a combination of the two dyes. The surface of the quilt was embellished with satin stitching and quilting. Commissioned and presented by Region 6 (Oxfordshire and Berkshire).
A quilt from The Nineties Collection - quilts commissioned from quiltmakers working during the 1990s.
