A Sensitive Art is the latest exhibition by the British Tapestry Group featuring a wide range of contemporary woven tapestry interpreting the theme of touch and texture.
Contemporary tapestry is an exciting art form. Today’s weavers combine the traditional skills of the medieval weaver with an exciting range of materials, shapes, textures and images to create their work. Tapestry is a slow art and many of the large pieces in the exhibition will have taken months to complete.
British Tapestry Group welcomes UK and international tapestry weavers as members.
It aims to promote woven tapestry through exhibitions, networking and regional support groups.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
