Chinese Whispers

This contemporary exhibition by York based group Eboracum Quilters was made for the “Chinese Whispers” challenge set by the organisers of the Loch Lomond Quilt Show in 2014. This challenge requires each group member to make a piece of work as a response a picture of the quiltmade by their predecessor in the group – without talking about it to anyone! The first person in the group responds to a photograph as set by the organisers. The range and diversity of interpretation is very interesting, and shows how people see different themes and inspirations when presented with an image.
The twelve members of the Eboracum Quilt group include eight quilters who work for or volunteer for the Quilt Museum and Gallery.
