Mini-Exhibition - The Magna Carta Quilts

Venue: The Quilters' Guild, St. Anthony's Hall, Peasholme Green, York.
Members of the public are welcome to come and view one of our latest acquisitions - The Magna Carta Quilts. Created to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta, 4 quilts tell the story of the Magna Carta in a graphic novel style based on 13th century illuminated manuscripts, and 4 quilts explore the legacy of this famous historical event.
These beautiful quilts are expertly designed and intricately stitched, and well worth a visit from both textile enthusiasts and history lovers.
Entrance is FREE. Open from 10 - 4. Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions.
