5th September - 13th December 2014
The crafts of patchwork and quilting have a long and interesting history, and this small exhibition takes the visitor through a very brief introduction to three centuries worth of changes, developments and styles. Starting in the early 18th century, it will explore what was fashionable, who was producing patchwork and quilting, and what impact external influencing factors had on the popularity and practise of these two allied crafts.
The Quilters' Guild Collection is held by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
