This mini quilt is made up from patches sewn by children at the Art Gallery for the Community Patch Project run by Inspirations York.
Due to patch sizes being less than recommended requirements, there was little time before the deadline to back them onto larger squares and deliver them to the quilt museum in order to sew them onto the larger community quilt.
Gaby Lees, assistant curator of York Art Gallery has done a marvellous job of piecing the patches together to make this wonderful quilt. I hope you like it as much as I do. You will be able to view it alongside its sister quilt when it arrives at the art gallery this year.
