The Manchester International Women's Day quilt was made in May 2010 at a day of celebration for women. All the delegates were asked to contribute a scrap of fabric that had a personal memory for them which we recorded and then also sewed all the fabric onto the quilt with the able assistance of MMU embroidery students. This colourful quilt was also the centre piece for a display at The People's History Museum in Manchester to celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day which was this year!
